ANZAC TASK

This week we had to do some research about WW1 and WW2. Doing this task was very fun and I learnt so much more than I did other years. It was also a little hard. When it was green on the tracking sheet I was so HAPPY!

Choose two out of Task 8, Task 9, and Task 10

Task 8: Write a newspaper article that might have been around in the World War I stating what would have been happening. Try to include as much detail as possible so that the reader gets a really good idea about what life would have been like living in the war.

Task 9: Listen to the audio of “The Last Post” Click here Write down how it makes you feel. This should be a mini paragraph.
It makes me nervous but sad at the same time. The reason I get sad is because it reminds me of all the brave men that went to war. All the women and sisters that stayed home would be worried about never seeing them again. And the reason I get nervous is I feel like I am one of the soldiers just about to go to war

Task 10: Watch the video on how to make ANZAC biscuits. Turn the sound off on your computer and Click here. Record how to make them - use your eyes to watch and NOT your ears to listen.

1.In a bowl, put in 1 cup of oats  
2.Add 1 cup of plain flour  
3.Include ½ cup of baking powder
4.1 cup of white sugar
5.Then mix.
6.Next add 100ml of butter.
7.Then 2 tablespoons of golden syrup.
8.1 teaspoon of baking soda
9.Then add 2 teaspoons of hot water.
10.Then mix it together.
11.Then stir the butter and the golden- syrup
12.Then put the water and the baking soda with the butter and golden syrup.
13.Add the water and the baking soda and butter and golden syrup to the dry stuff.
14.Then roll it up in little balls on the baking sheets that are on the tray.
15.Then push it down, Put in the oven.
